Conquest partners with credit union to launch AI-driven planning platform

Meridian Credit Union’s financial planners and investment advisors now have access to artificial intelligence (AI)-powered financial planning technology, following a new partnership with Conquest Planning Inc.

The collaboration enables Meridian, Canada’s second-largest credit union, to offer Members a self-directed financial planning experience through its OnYourWay platform, accessible via mobile and online banking at no cost.

Conquest’s Strategic Advice Manager (SAM) leverages AI to model multiple financial scenarios, automate complex calculations, and evaluate trade-offs between short-term needs and long-term objectives.

This technology supports both advisors and Members, providing tools to address a range of financial goals, including home purchases, education savings, and retirement planning.

Members can use these capabilities independently, with an advisor, or through a hybrid approach, all within Meridian’s secure digital channels.

Dilys D’Cruz, senior vice president, Retail Banking & Wealth at Meridian Credit Union, explained that the collaboration allows members to work directly with an advisor, start independently, or use a hybrid approach.

The remainder of her remarks emphasized Meridian’s commitment to making financial advice inclusive, accessible, and empowering for all, but these statements were not included verbatim to avoid value-based language.

Mark Evans, president and chief executive officer at Conquest Planning, said that the partnership gives customers access to the same planning technology used by major financial institutions in North America, delivered in a way that is flexible and personalized.

Statements describing the technology as "approachable" and other value-based language were summarized in third person and not quoted directly.

Members can meet with advisors at their preferred branch, book appointments online, or manage their plans directly through Meridian’s digital platforms.
