Citi has bolstered its private banking and investment advisory ranks with three senior professionals bringing a combined wealth of global expertise.
In Vancouver, Wai Sum (Mary) Thio joins from Citi Private Bank Hong Kong, where she advised ultra-high-net-worth clients and their family offices. With over 25 years in banking, Mary has guided clients through investments in both public and private markets, while supporting their broader wealth planning and financing needs—from real estate to business acquisitions. She began her career as a Citi Management Trainee in Treasury Marketing, serving corporate and institutional clients in Hong Kong. A graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Mary is fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
In Toronto, Abhishek Bhadauria steps in as Investment Counsellor, joining from TD Wealth Private Investment Advice. At TD, he advised affluent families, not-for-profits, and private corporations on portfolio construction and long-term financial strategies. Abhishek holds an MBA and is a CFA charterholder, underscoring his deep credentials in investment management.
In New York, Christine Fong will cover Canadian clients, leveraging her seven years of experience at J.P. Morgan. Most recently an Investment Specialist, she counseled clients on portfolio design and asset allocation across equities, fixed income, and alternative investments. Christine earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Baruch College and also holds the CFA designation.
